A Land Title search contains the following information;

Burns & Taylor is able to search the Corporate Registry, Reserve names, and Register all documentation for active and historical British Columbia and extra provincial companies, proprietorships, partnerships, societies and co-operatives.
Searches for Limited companies contain the following information:
* complete name of the company
* incorporation date and number
* any previous name(s), amalgamation information (if applicable)
* date of the last Annual Report filed
* directors' and officers names and addresses
* registered and records office
* any dissolution or restoration information (if applicable)
* whether reporting, in liquidation or receivership
Personal Property Registry
Burns & Taylor offers all Searching and Registrations for the Personal Property Registry.
The Personal Property Registry provides registration and search services covering interests in personal property for lenders, sellers, garage keepers, taxing authorities, government agencies, purchasers and the general public.
The Personal Property Registry was created on October 1, 1990, as a result of proclamation of the Personal Property Security Act, which essentially consolidated and streamlined the law on the registration of the security interests in personal property in British Columbia. The new registry absorbed the function of the former Central Registry and took over encumbrance filing responsibilities for the Corporate Registry and Manufactured Home Registry.
The Personal Property Registry is a notice filing system which registers all of the encumbrances (e.g. mortgages, liens, debentures) created against personal property in British Columbia, whether it belongs to a corporation or an individual. These security interests are to be distinguished from mortgages on real property (e.g. land) which are registered in a Land Titles Office.
Burns & Taylor can conduct Personal Property Registry searches on the following;
* serial numbered goods such as motor vehicles, aircraft (both registered in Canada and not registered in Canada), boats, Manufactured Homes, Outboard Motors and Trailers
* debtor name (individuals or business name)
* PPR registration number
Burns & Taylor files the following types of registrations;
Financing Statement
This statement is used to register the following types of interest and liens:
* a security interest under the Personal Property Security Act;
* a buyer's interest in goods left in the possession of the seller under the Sale of Goods Act;
* a tax lien on a manufactured home under the Manufactured Home Act;
* a deferred tax lien on a manufactured home under the Land Tax Deferment Act; and
* a notice of marriage or separation agreement affecting a manufactured home under the Family Relations Act.
*Repairers Lien Financing Statement
*This statement is used to register a garage keeper's lien under the Repairers Lien Act.
Financing Change Statement
This statement is used to renew, discharge or change a prior registration.
